So that we don't forget God's faithfulness, here are 2004 prayer requests and their answers.

Red text is answered prayers, praises.

Ongoing, daily prayer requests:
Our relationship with the Lord - Please pray for us to be faithful, to spend time in the Word and in prayer, and to grow daily.  As some of our friends once said in their prayer letter: "Pray we would be diligent in our study of the Word.  When we get too busy and that slips, so do we."
Our relationship with each other - Being here together is truly wonderful!  Thank the Lord with us for that blessing and pray for us as we work together.
Parenting - Jaan is still at a very easy stage, but please pray for wisdom for us as we raise him.  Pray for him to grow "in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man."  And don't forget to be praying already for his little sibling!
Church - Please pray with us for the new young church in Kovrov, for our home churches in the States and also for Resurrection Church in Moscow.  We're so thankful to be a part of the Body of Christ!
Language - Don't stop praying for both of us to make progress in Russian.  Will preaches periodically, and that is his challenge.  Mine is still just talking.

June 11, 2005
Camp - God has worked it out so that the camp will be in the same place where it has been for the past few years.  Please pray now as everyone scrambles to get the facility ready in time.  The kids arrive on Friday!  Will and a team are over at the camp all day today, and Ivan and his family have been working hard there almost every day.  Also, pray for the American group who will be traveling Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Health - Prayers answered!  Will and Jaan are well (even though Jaan's still a little snotty, he's feeling much better), and I'm still fine.
Other details -  There are so many other little--and big!--details to be worked out in these last few days before camp and Baby.  Please just pray in general for details and for our sanity. :-)  We are holding up quite well, and I know that's just because God is really the one who is arranging all this.
Gospelink - We're also really busy with Gospelink quarterly work.  Praise that Will's meetings with all the missionary-pastors went well and pray for us to quickly get all the translating and paperwork done.

June 6, 2005
I couldn't get online Saturday, but now I'm here. :-)
Camp purchase - It's hard to summarize all that's going on.  It looks like the camp purchase is probably not going to go through, at least not until fall.  Of course, that throws everything into a tailspin!  Please pray for all the details to work out.  A huge prayer request right now is for a place to hold the camp.  Beyond that, there are all the details of buying this camp or another one.  Also, please pray for everyone involved: Ivan and all of us here, the team from the States, and all the children who will be coming.
Health - Will is getting over a cold, Jaan is in the midst of one, and I am healthy.  Please pray for Jaan and Will to be completely well soon and for me not to catch their germs.
Camp director -  Ivan is out of the hospital, but the doctors weren't really able to help him.  Pray that the stress won't be too much for him!  He did pass a treadmill test while in the hospital.  Praise the Lord for that!

May 28, 2005
Me - I am sleeping, and the weather is cooler again, so I'm not hot, but I'm still uncomfortable.  Please pray for me to have strength and patience as we wait for this baby!  Pray for a good, safe birth and healthy baby.
Sannikova - They had a fun end of the year picnic today.  Pray for the kids over the summer, when they won't be having the weekly contact with believers.
Water - Just as they said, the cold water was back right away!  Thank you for praying for little details like this.

May 21, 2005
Sleep - I've actually slept pretty well the past two nights, so I'm doing better.  Praise the Lord for that and keep praying!
Sannikova - Next week is the last lesson before summer break.
Camp director - Ivan is now in a hospital, looking into treatment options.  Please pray that the doctors will be able to help him.
Jaan's teeth - His teething seemed to let up for a little while, but now he's miserable again.  Those four molars still aren't all the way through, and more teeth are starting to come in now.  Pray for Jaan to sleep!
Water - Our hot water has been off for about a week now, and today the cold is off, too.  Please pray that the cold will be back on tonight, like it's supposed to be.  It would be really nice to have hot back, as well!  (Although we haven't heard any mention of that.)

May 11, 2005
Sleep - A special prayer request: Please pray that I (Phyllis) will be able to SLEEP well at nights.

May 6, 2005
Again, I'm sorry that I haven't updated for a while.  We've been busy with a wonderful Easter season and visits from friends.  Christ is risen!
Sannikova - Today Will and Pavel are going without Ira again.  Will is going to be teaching.
Camp purchase - Please keep praying.  Everything continues to move forward.
Camp director - Ivan is having some health problems.  Please pray for him and his family.  This is serious enough that he has asked someone else to be the main director of the camp, so the whole camp ministry needs extra prayer now, too.
Jaan's teeth - Jaan has his first four molars coming in, and they must be bad ones!  He goes around with his hands on his face saying "pain, pain." :-(

April 16, 2005
Sannikova - The kids were great for Will last week!  That's big praise, because they often behave terribly (like they did today).
Camp purchase - Please keep praying.  There's not really anything new to report.

April 9, 2005
Sannikova - Today Will is actually teaching the lesson.  Please pray for the kids to be well behaved and for Will to be clear in what he says.

April 7, 2005
Camp purchase - Yesterday Will spent all day with some of the local pastors, meeting with the camp owner and getting the actual legal process of buying the camp started.  Please continue to pray for wisdom for all who are involved, for the money to come in, and for the purchase to go through.

March 31, 2005
I'm way behind here!  We've just been busy.  So sorry.
Family seminar - The seminar went very well.  Almost all of the unsaved spouses came.  We thoroughly enjoyed the teaching ourselves, too.
Camp purchase - I haven't even mentioned this big part of what's been keeping us busy!  The churches here have an opportunity to buy a camp facility.  Will has been translating the communication between the American and Russian churches involved in this.  Please pray for him to keep up with all that, and for the money to come in to buy this camp.  A huge praise: Galilee baptist Church has decided to go ahead and buy the camp!  But please keep reading....  This does not mean that the fundraising efforts are over.  In fact, the financial side of this seems to be moving very slowly.  The church will provide this money in faith from their general fund, and as gifts for the camp come in, they will pay it back.  (Anyone who is interested in giving, please contact us.)  Please pray for the money to come in for this camp!
Summer - Praise: Will and Pavel met with the director of the school-orphanage here, and she wants to have the day camp again this year!

March 5, 2005
Concerts - The concerts last weekend was well attended.  Pray now for fruit to come out of that outreach.
Sannikova - Ira has been doing most of the teaching for the Bible lessons, but now she has a full-time job.  Pray for Will and Pavel as they fill in teaching and decide how to continue the ministry to the kids.
Family seminar - A family seminar on marriage and child training is coming up at the end of March-beginning of April for believers and unbelievers.  Pray that unbelieving spouses (and couples!) would come.  Pray for those of us who are making arrangements for the seminar.
Summer - We're starting on preparations and planning for the summer (baby, day camp in Kovrov, summer camps, etc.).  Pray for details to work out smoothly.  Will and Pavel will be meeting with the director of the school-orphanage this week to find out if we will be allowed to work with the kids in a day camp situation like we have in years past.

February 26, 2005
Concerts - I can't believe that I forgot to mention this last week.  This weekend a musical group from Moscow is visiting and doing evangelistic concerts.  Today there is one at the main Kovrov library and one out in the village of Sannikova.  Tomorrow there will be one where our church meets.  Please pray for this to draw new people into the church.  We've invited all our neighbors.

February 19, 2005
Motherwise - Once again, we were not able to meet because of sickness.  One little boy is in the hospital.  Please pray for him and his parents.
Me - This whole week has been up and down for me, but I've been able to get some rest.  I've also had some very tired days.  Thank you for all your prayers!
Gospelink - Will continues to translate and work on details.  Pray specifically that he'll be able to get in touch with everyone that he needs to contact.

February 12, 2005
Motherwise - We did get together this week, but with a very small group.  (Will was the only one of us to get the cold that was going around, and he got over it very quickly.)
Visas - Praise the Lord!  We are officially reregistered, without leaving the country and without any big hassles!
Me - I've been doing really well and feeling more energetic lately, but today I'm just plain tired.  Will is gone all day, too.  (He has Gideons in the morning, Sannikova in the afternoon, and youth meeting tonight.)  Please pray for extra strength.
Praise - We celebrated our fourth anniversary this week!  Jaan had his first ever experience with being away from us for a few hours, and we had a wonderful time of refreshment without him. :-)

February 5, 2005
Sannikova - Behavior continues to be a problem.  It's very frustrating, because there are kids who truly want to learn, but there are others who are distracting them and making everything difficult.
Motherwise - We weren't able to meet this week, because there is so much sickness going around.  Pray for health.  (Our own little family is well, but just about everyone else isn't.)
Visas - I don't want to say that it's quite certain yet, but Will had a successful trip to Moscow this week, and we're one step away from being completely reregistered without leaving the country!
Gospelink - Keep praying....
Parenting - Jaan continues to be a joy, but he's also testing us more these days.  Please pray for extra wisdom and strength for us.

January 29, 2005
Sannikova - Pray especially for the kids to be well behaved.  Will and the others who are leading are trying to figure out what to do with some boys who come just to make trouble.  They don't want to be turning kids away, but they also don't want a few to ruin it for the rest of the kids.
Motherwise - Thank you for your prayers!  The study seems to be going even better now than before.  We're enjoying closer fellowship and sharing more with each other.
Visas - We need to renew the registration on our visas soon, and we're having a hard time figuring out how to do that.  Pray that we can get it done easily, cheaply, and without having to leave the country.
Gospelink - It's the end of a Gospelink quarter, so Will is very busy with coordinating finances, meeting with the missionaries, and translating.

January 22, 2005
I didn't update the prayer requests last week, because I was working on figuring out our new computer.  And that leads to the first item...
Praise - The Lord provided for us to get a new computer!  Our old one was dying.  Since the computer is our main communication link across the ocean, one that works well is a great blessing.
Health - Everyone is well!  Once again, we praise God for our health.  Jaan and Will had a stomach virus this week, but they're well again now, and I never got it.
Sannikova - Only a few adults came to the Christmas program, but the kids were there and thoroughly enjoyed it!  Let's pray for more interest among the adults of the community.  Will is out there today, as usual.
Motherwise - Our Motherwise Bible study is finally back in session after a long break and numerous setbacks.  Please pray for the young mothers involved.  Pray especially for Nastya this week.  She's a single mother who is going through a hard time.

January 8, 2005
Merry Christmas again! (Russian Christmas was yesterday.)
Health - Everyone is well!
Sannikova - Today the church is putting on a special Christmas program in Sannikova.  The parents and everyone else have been invited, and many more people from the church here went out to minister.   (Usually it's just Will and two others.)  Please pray that this will be a good witness and that it will draw others into what the children are learning about the Lord.
Praise - We had a wonderful Christmas service at church yesterday.  There were ten visitors who had never been there before and quite a few people who we rarely see.

January 1, 2005!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Health - Jaan is sick again, but he doesn't seem too miserable.  Will, Baby and I are doing well. :-)
Praise - We had a wonderful American Christmas celebration as a family.  Jaan and I went with Will to the Sannikova outreach on Christmas Day, and we thoroughly enjoyed the kids and the time together.  Now we have Russian Christmas to look forward to in a week.
