Dear Friends,

Last time we wrote and asked you to pray because we had decided to move.  Now we're actually on our way!  In two weeks or less we will be joining our friends Pavel and Tanya Korneichuk as missionaries in the city of Kovrov.  Thank you so much for all your prayers!
Pavel had been searching for an apartment for us, and it really seemed like nothing was turning up.  Then, Friday morning he called and said that he had found one.  That night Will went out to Kovrov and signed a contract with the landlord the next day.  Now we are packing up here and getting ready to move.

Please be praying for

1) our move.

2) our new ministry in Kovrov.

3) financial support.
Praise God for His provision of an apartment!
A very big THANK YOU to everyone who sent cards, letters, baby presents, money, and gifts for us.  I know that I have not acknowledged each gift personally, but that doesn't mean that we don't appreciate your generosity.
Please email us (mayakovsky@willphyl.com).  We'd love to hear from you; let us know how we can pray for you.  As soon as we have a post office box in our new home, we'll put that address up on our "Contact" page, and you can write to us that way, too.

Love and prayers,

   Will, Phyllis, and Jaan Hunsucker
We really need your prayers in this busy time.  There are still many details to work out, friends to see here before leaving, and, of course, all the boxes to be packed.  We're thrilled to see the way the Lord is bringing in the financial support that we need; please keep praying about that.
Our holiday season here in Moscow was quite busy.  Will preached a few times and sang with the choir at all the holiday services.  Jaan enjoyed his first Christmas program for children at church, even though he slept through most of it.  We celebrated New Years at a youth camp outside of Moscow, with the youth from our church and other Moscow churches.
Jaan continues to grow and bring us joy every day.  Lately, he has gone through a rough time with teething (or something).  He still doesn't have any teeth to show for it, but he is once more starting to sleep better and fuss less.  He loves people and gets passed around everywhere we go, much to his delight.  I know he's going to enjoy playing with the Korneichuk girls and Mark, the other baby in the church in Kovrov.
When Will's parents and sister were here to visit, they were able to go out to Kovrov.  This is what Will's Mom wrote about her time there:
"I LOVED being able to visit in Kovrov!  First of all, stepping of the train into the snow and walking up the hill in the early evening, I felt like I was in Dr. Zhivago!  (I was very glad that we were met by a friendly face, Pavel, and that he had a car!)

"Kovrov felt like a real 'hometown' as opposed to Moscow which seems like such a huge place to me.  Kovrov has wonderful, old Russian houses, made of wood with gingerbread trim and painted in beautiful colors.  And, it is surrounded by forest.  Five minutes in any direction, it seems that you are in the midst of fir trees.  It is on a very picturesque river and there are lovely old churches in several areas.

"And, the people were so kind to us.  Pavel, Tanya and their children are so sweet and hospitable.  And, more importantly, you can tell they really love the Lord.  They were serving other and sharing His Word the whole time we were there.

"I especially enjoyed being able to fix an American meal for them - Southern fried chicken, baked beans and coleslaw.  The youth group was meeting at Tanya and Pavel's that night, so they joined us, too.  Tanya and the girls all wanted to know how to fry the chicken.  It seems Russian don't do Southern fried chicken. =)

"I am so glad Will, Phyllis and Jaan are going to be moving to Kovrov.  I think they will be a great help to Tanya and Pavel.  And, I think Tanya and Pavel will be great friends and encouragement for them, as well.  I can't wait to visit again!"
